Powerful stuff that cleaner Wish it had been that easy ! She's coming along nicely, not as much rot as I thought there would be when I got her, worst part is in the picture, she's had surgery in the past by the inner rear wheel arches, lucky the van didn't go up in smoke, the wooden panel on the floor on the drivers side was burnt as was the linoleum flooring that was on top of it !! I could do with a couple of pics of the flooring behind the inner rear wheel arches and next to them if anyone has any, I'm not sure if what has been cut out and plated over should have strengtheners or just flat sheet metal. What is this hole for? There was a grommet in it but no hole in the grommet so I can't see the point in it unless it should have the wire for the rear fog light going through it.

Yeah, I'd rather lead load than use putty filler. I was hoping someone had a picture or measurements of how close the panels should be, I will be cutting the panel out because there is rust behind it and I need to get rid of that before I fix this panel. On the plus side she is now totally stripped inside, mice had been living in the insulation in the roof at some time ! It's a good job fibreglass insulation isn't flammable !! It was well scorched though ! And now I know that the new arches are definitely welded on top of the old ones and loads of filler over the top ! Well I won't need to buy new arches as I can use these ones to repair the arches properly, from inside the arches don't look that bad.

Ah the old slap-a-new-panel-on-top-of-the-old-one school of repair!

I wish my corners were that good .I think going by mine,or what's left, the corner panel is welded to the lower corner so the gap is almost the same as the side panels. hope the fllor isn't too bad underneath all that patchwork.
