G`day guys Went to pick something up the other day and got talking to the bloke about cars, mentioned i had a transit and he said he had one for sale. Its a MKI duelly trayback with a 2m x 3m tray. Fitted with an xf falcon 250, it drove there but has sat for a couple of years. Didnt ask if it was a manual or auto. Seems pretty good rust wise, has some here and there but then what can you expect. Asking $1500 firm, pickup from Adelaide, contact me if you want more pics or info.

I hope no one takes offense as I relate something I have noticed since getting on British car and truck websites. There is definitely a difference between British English and American English. This truck is advertised as having a tray, while here in the U.S. we call it a flatbed. And someone was asking about wings. I had to think about that for a moment before I realized they were talking about a fender. Bear with me as I acclimate myself to the proper way to speak in the UK. If I ask for a confirmation, just know its the Yank from Virginia that forgot how to speak English. My family came over to the colonies in 1620 from Britain and I guess we've messed up the language a bit.

Believe it or not in the eastern part of North Carolina some folks do call the trunk a boot. I was born and raised about 50 miles from that area and my parents had friends in that area. I will have to say the British English is more correct in most applications concerning automobiles. Just like spares is better than using the words replacement parts.

When I was in the Air Force I used to fly into England to pick up personnel for transport back to our military hospitals. It was interesting to try to keep up with the lingo when working with the civilians on the base. They must have thought I was hard of hearing because in the beginning I was always asking them to repeat what they said. Lol
