I was of the notion that the RS2000 engine was a standard 2 litre Pinto and an alternative to the uprated but lower capacity 1.6 motors fitted in other sporty escorts. Two versions, 200 and 205...rightly said the 205 has a thicker casting and was a later version

yes but does that mean the 205 was exclusively fitted to RS200s then? I don't believe so

What cam is going into it? Might have to have hardend valve seats put into my head as the clearances have closed up again, probably do the cam while I'm at it unless I can get an EFI head..
