Got my mk2 swb into my garage & starting to strip her to bits. Can't see how to remove the handbrake cable.no joy from the Haynes manual. Cable is disconnected from operating rod but I can't see how to remove it from the other connections. Thanks in advance. Have also found that my bright orange paint is called carnival RED! Been trying to find out for ages.

You will have to remove the shoes, pull the handbrake arm forward and release the nipple on the end of the cable. I find it helpful to compress the spring on the cable to release the nipple
