Wish I had good news for you, but, Type 9 gear levers are non existant as far as I know, they are unique as in they mount from underneath the gearbox and have the fixing mount as part of the lever. I have a Type 9 in one of my trucks I can photo the lever if that helps to see if you can fabricate one

Thanks for the reply. The selector is there so I need info on the shape of the stick and the method of attachment if you can help with a photo that would be great. Regards--John

Heres a pic of the selector from above (If you zoom in a bit). The stick widens a little where it goes through the selector arm and is held in place with plastic bushes. Below the stick continues for about another 3 inches and ends with a ball shape which fits snugly into a bowl. The ball and bowl is the point the lever pivots about and the longer the distance between the selector arm and the ball and pivot the shorter the shift at the top of the stick. I hope you get what I'm getting at! I'd imagine the hardest part in making a stick would be trying to fit the stick snug enough into the ring of the selector arm. The plastic bushes on the one I have are a little worn and I lets the stick move about a lot.
