G`day folks I managed to get a new booster and master cylinder from a mk2, though it seems its a very late model one. they are both in great condition but the problem is that the new master has an electronic proportioning valve while the original doesnt. Can i just leave it unconnected? The new booster looks like it will bolt to the firewall nicely but the old master wont fit it and visa versa. I`ve attached a couple of pics to show you the differences. Old booster/master New booster/master Cheers in advance folks Troppo

Have you managed to work out the proportioning value cause I think it might be the pole for the warning light on the dash

WTF is that off? Not even a Mk3 one, which can be made to fit. The other option is LDV, which should be still available in the UK.

No sorry truckie havent worked it out yet WTF is that off? Not even a Mk3 one, which can be made to fit. The other option is LDV, which should be still available in the UK. Its off a mkII Fred, it was a twin door slider but it was a mkII, dont know what year but def a mkII. The brake guys went mad trying to find a kit for it, they couldnt identify it in any book or catalogue. Maybe it was an aussie mod, i dont know. As for a replacement i think i will put a kit through the original master cylinder and stick with that

Trust me that's not a standard UK master, not even Europe. Could be an Oz thing. Educate me!

Wish i could Fred, but even the brake specialists couldnt tell me what it was off. Real pity as the booster wont fit the old master so i`m going to have to try to tidy up the original master and booster and re-use them.

Still reckon the switch on it is for the warning light on the dash though and doesn't need to be connected

any way i can prove or disprove that on the bench? I`d hate to clean it up and spend all that time to find out its useless to me.
