She looks bloody good mate, you`ve done a great job. I`ve got the same problem as you, do i clean up the rust and paint the transit or do the escort up first? The vans a driver but the esky`s not so i`m leaning towards the transit

Very nice indeed. Let us know what sound deadening you'll be using. Will it be inside the cab and engine bay?

It will be when I'm done with it. It's defiantly a good advertising board. It's funny how some people rubber neck her and most appear to not even notice! Thinking of putting my house phone number on too as mobile only seems to scare people lol. I'm torn between getting my escort on the road or doing the last few bits on the van.....I've been driving her around for a year now wearing -39db ear plugs :/ I'd definately put a landline number and also a part address, obviously so that people know you are of a fixed address rather than , ahem, how do I put it?...passing through.... :-) I had a friend with a business delivering supplies to schools who drove an unlettered Transit with a towbar, he was always complaining of getting parking tickets. I suggested to him he needed to emphasise that he was a local business, that towbar gave the wrong impression!

Gentian blue! What's not to like? One thing about the landline thing, be careful if the phone is where the truck is kept. Some mobile providers and other companies offer land line numbers, which would be better.

she's a beauty of a girl, phase 1 or phase 2 she's a mk2 so who cares.i'd be like the cat that got the cream if I had her to drive in fact if I had one to drive full stop.get her finished and then ya can concentrate on the escort.
Richard I lurve the bugs too.

I don't think many people now are put off by the fact that you don't have a land line number on the truck - its pretty pointless unless you have it re-directed to the mobile anyway if they actually want to speak to someone...Cost of calling mobiles used to be a big factor behind people not wanting to call them, its not so much of an issue anymore. Maybe stick your area under the curve of the GREENKEEPERS to show you are local(ish)

You should turn a tidy profit. You will probably lament selling her for the rest of your life!! Be nice to sell to a forum member.
