G`day folks I`ve heard the roof linings are a real bitch to remove without destroying them due to the way they are installed. I`ve got a full length roof lining i`d like to keep in good condition when i take it out, anyone have any experience with this? Tips or tricks to share? I`m planning ahead so i have the information i need before i get to that stage, fore-armed and all. Thanks guys Cheers Troppo

one trick is to use a plastic filler spreader bout 1.5 inch wide and cut one down narrower to get round the radiused corners. if you gently shuffle the spreader up into the gap between the headlining and the steel rail that the lining is tucked into, your actually lifting the material up off the upward facing teeth its snagging on, hopefully allowing it to slide down by the plastic spreader without getting caught if you get me. you need to keep working round on it bit by bit and see how you get on. mite work with lots of patience!!!

I'm my experience with headlinings of many different makes the key is patience. I've allowed up to a full day before to do one.
You will at some point stab yourself in the hand and face too!
One tip I've learn it too peridocally wash your hands (unless it's a black lining) grubby fingers can ruin an otherwise perfect lining!
