this is our Transit. It is still in its original paint, completely rust free but need a repaint, anyway. Some smoke from the exhaust, otherwise runs very well.

Thank you Fred: tomorrow I will check the chassis number. Do you have a complete vincode decoder? Can I find some documentation about available color and their paint manufacturer code?

I had a scrat round the Net for you Siri, and came up with this. Don't know how kosher it is. Fiord Blue (SVO) 700 White 535.5g 701 Blue Black 60.0g 704 Fast Blue 24.00g 719 Verdant Yellow 9.0g PPG Deltron Direct Gloss

excellent... my first tought was to keep the white area and paint yellow what now it's green. then we can use our blu badges on yellow field. The chassis number is 83E4XGB83PM13294. So thanks to Fred help, I can say that is was manufactured in july '74. I would like to know the meaning of other letters and number: anybody knows?

You're right. Might I suggest Daytona Yellow? Its a Ford car shade of the era.

Daytona Yellow could be a valid chance. Somewhere over the net I found this picture: and tought some kind of yellow was available then.

Maybe not totally correct but Signal Yellow is a nicer shade than Daytona and is similar to the yellow on the 1966 GEC van
