The cost of fuel would have made it un-economical to run it as a wage earning vehicle

The cost of fuel would have made it un-economical to run it as a wage earning vehicle How many miles a year then Muttley please? Its not the total miles, recovery is all about cost per mile, the less it costs to run, the more you make in profit. My spec trucks dont do high miles but spend most time towing so MPG suffers.

I dont have the spare cash to fit the kit, or buy it Except for the tanks, the kit comes up on eBay at prices that aren't too dangerous Muttley. If you keep your eyes open, you may see aluminium stacker truck cylinders around. They work perfectly well, although you might need to talk with the excess flow valve.
The only experience I have had with a Pinto on propane didn't show much of a saving, perhaps it was a bad 'un I wasn't paying for the fuel, so I wasn't worried. It was an ex-White Sparrow Mk2.
Big advantage is that no-one "liberates" your fuel. Does that happens your way?

Anything that costs money is too much for me at the moment I never leave (or have for that matter) any fuel in my trucks for anyone to pilfer ;D
