HI guys! Today it rained all day long and when I went to my van, I notice that there was a lot of water under the floor mats. From where it could come in? from the windshield? from the engine compartment?
someone has already happened something like this?
thanks guys!

It could be rust around the windscreen, though my money is on a hole in the heater bowl on the firewall in the engine bay

Water in the middle is the heater matrix. Water either side can be a hole in the inner wing. A good indication is if there's rust under the bonnet hinge. Have a look under the bonnet. The bottom of the bonnet hinge is bolted to the inner wing.

I state that my van is left-hand drive. The water comes down from the wheel arch under the dashboard in the left, where there is a mechanism to open the hood. and indeed there is also water in the middle under the heater outlet.
this evening I try to see..
thansk guys!

Yep, my mk1 fills up with water when it rains. Majority of it comes from the air intake hollow under the vent air closing grill behind the bonnet. Originally it use to drain straight onto the coil with disastrous effect so I blocked it. I intend to make a hinged scoop that I can close in wet weather and capture lots of air in hot weather.

Mine was leaking through the sealant at the edges of the scuttle (just under the edge of the front wings). Mines a LHD and was leaking exactly as you describe.
Remove the side air vent and put your hand up or look in with a torch and you'll see/feel the water.
Re-sealed with tiger seal and all is nice and dry again.

The eyeball vent in the corner of the dash mate.

The top plastic ring just unscrews from the top of the vent. Then just pull the plastic tubing off it from underneath.
If my van was here and not tucked up in its storage shed I'd take a pic to show you.

This is where it was leaking in from the outside. The bit under the front wing under the windscreen. Looking down there on mine all the sealant had dried out and cracked letting water through. I pumped a load of tigerseal down in the wing gap and smoothed it off the best I could and sealed it from inside too (but you need to remove the vent to be able to see). I did both sides as although it was only leaking on the drivers side I figured the passenger side wasn't far behind!

Shorty leaks so much I just drilled a hole in each footwell to let the water out
