I received these pics of my van (Supervan 2) when I purchased it last month. These were taken when the previous owner purchased it, in 1989. First owner was News Distribution Services in London, and it was hauling newspapers, which explains the good condition of the rear interior! The reg is C488 VLM and the VIN/chassis number is WFOVXXGBVVFK78456. Can anyone please tell me: a) what month and year it was first registered in the UK? b) the VIN suggests a build date of October 1985, when was the last Mk2 built? I reckon this must have been near the end of the Mk2 build cycle? cheers Conrad P.S. I have the service book, looks like it was sold new by Perry's of Finchley

Not sure what you mean by notified as exported? It came from UK to NZ in 1989, so I guess someone had to be notified??

I can tell you the van was sold in 1986 by Perry's of Finchley. I know cos we have two of her sisters!! Also, the export section was not always returned to the DVLA when vans left the country, same with the scrapped section. Back in the 80s people and the DVLA were not as hot on keeping things up to date as they are now.

Mine was registered December 1985. The only D Reg mk2's I've seen always have been pickups

Was going on our two mate! They are chassis cabs though so maybe the vans were German built? I though Germany did the LHD vans for the Euro continent.
