Very exciting. Keeping traction on the back wheels will be interesting. Good that you have four of them which might be the attraction. I would be tempted to rat rod her or at least cut the cab down a few inches. How are you going to solve the dip stick problem? Could have an extended one coming out the top of the dash but messy. Oil level sensor but risky. Have you set yourself a time schedule?

Im going to get some wheels made, so two big monsters on the back should help with traction, the two wheels that are on are, including the gap 14"
or im thinking a big old wooden box full of concrete with TNT written on it sat over the axle !
What do you mean about the dipstick mate ?
Time schedule i want it done as fast as i can,
im going to do a dry run and get everything in and running, then strip it and get it blasted then repair the cab, then paint it and refit everything.
the chassis is like a new truck, it is unbelievable, it doesn t need ANY WORK wish i could say the same about the cab

Yep,your right there, Awesome lump youve got there to go in,used to use an old SL500 as a smoker at a bodyshop i worked at,dreamt of using that lump as a donor, just smooth power, the AMG6.3 will be something else! Great project, following with interest.

Wow! Yep you will need something to give you traction or she will skip about all over the place! I d already thought about that, im going to see how it goes. I want something to look like an actual load, (not too big though) you ve all seen the vw boys putting ironing boards, beer barrels, suitcases etc.... thats when i mentioned some old wooden boxes filled with concrete, or some other heavy lump disguised as hay bales or whatever. not only for the commercial look but as you say, to stop my back end trying to overtake the front Someone i know has built a wait for it............ jaguar v12 MILK FLOAT and hes having the same problem getting traction, I told him to get a load of milk crates and bottles paint em white and fill em up with water,

The classic HGV guys build a fake load with a camper inside! They sheet and rope it.
