Hello from Norway So I just got myself my first Transit. It's a 1977 mod, and only 6500 miles / 10500km! The car has been in a heated garage for 25 years. It has not been started in 25 years . I bought new batteries and tried to start it. After 30 seconds it started There is little surface rust in paint, but it looks like new underneath. Interior is complete and looks new . The plan for the car is to replace filters and removing surface rust . It may get new paint in the summer . Will get more pictures when I get the car home on Friday.

Hi Mate welcome and the best of luck with your transit, looks realy good. Like it has been in a time warp, I would find storage for it over the winter if you can. I am in a situation where I may have to leave Australia and am seriously thinking of shipping my transit pick up back to Ireland. As I know I will not find an other that has not been welded or full of fillers. Would any one know if an Australian MK1 with a straight 6 Ford Falcon engine be a sort after Transit with Bull nose back in UK or Ireland. Be interested on feed back. Keep your van if you can mate its great!

Keep your van if you can mate its great! Thanks mate I will try to rent a garage for it in the winter, but there is not so many for rent around here, and they are expensive. Was thinking of asking Ford if they want to have the car in their store in the winter, for show. Thet have a old ford in there now, so mabye they want one more I would try to ship it back to Ireland if I could! If your car is in good condition, I guess you will not find a new one in good condition without paying alot of money

No, they want the car out of there. They were going to throw the car away! I mean to the dismantler (Google translate dismantler, I have no ide if that is the right word for it ) Luckily I found the car 2 days before the car came to pick it up

That's shocking! Don't forget I would be interested too if you do decide to sell it.
