Please don't send me to the dark place....
Does anyone here deal with later Transits or is an MOT tester? I'm looking at a later van on Tuesday but the previous MOT has a couple of advisories I'm lost on, and unless I know what would cause this I'm not parting with the cash:
nearside rear Axle beam has slight vertical movement between stub axle and axle beam (2.5.A.1a) offside rear Axle beam has slight vertical movement between stub axle and axle beam (2.5.A.1a)
Thanks.

I'm not too knowledgeable on newer stuff so don't take my word for it, but if I have understood correctly it sounds like inner wheel bearings or the shell bearings (that's what they call em on bikes, unsure if it is the correct name here). I can't say I know what else is in the assembly of a mk6. Not a big job but I don't personally like doing them. Someone else will be far more helpful

I agree with JMFR, sounds like wheelbearings, don't understand the description though as the stub axle is bolted to the beam. If there is movement relative to the stub and the beam then the rear stub axle must be loose! I think it's badly described by the MOT tester Is this a FWD van?
