Does anyone know if mk3 & mk2 propshaft bearings are the same ? Mine is 30mm internal diameter.

There are more than one type of prop fitted to both Mk1 and 2 so I would think you would have to match the sizes of the bearing. I have a good Mk2 prop you could rob the bearing off or fit the whole thing if it matches up

Thanks mutley. If it helps my van is a facelift popular 80 1600cc 1985. My propshaft is in good nick but the bearing has play & feels gritty.

Burtons sell the right prop bearing. I just did mine on my 1978 mk2 transit.
Don't forget to change the rubber donut too.

take your old bearing to either apollo bearings in crawley or redhill bearings in handcross they should be able to match it
