Hi All Just got back from holiday, recuperating from a long term illness and my personal car, Vauxhall Insignia has been stolen from my drive whilst I was away Reported it to the police but they dont hold out much luck of retrieving it I hope the ANPR system might pick it up but even the police said its probably already on its way somewhere abroad by now
Little sh--s whoever took it Only replaced pads and disks 200 miles ago and had a full tank of diesel Only had 47k miles on the clock and I suppose I will get well below what it was worth from the insurance company, on top of my £450 excess I will have to pay

61 plate? How did they get that away? Did they nick the keys? At least it wasn't your Mk1.

Dont know how they got it away Both sets of keys in the house. House not interfered with and no broken glass on the drive Didnt think it was possible to steal an automatic Police think its already on a boat to another country and dont even assign any officers to investigate anymore due to shortage of officers on the ground as a result of the cuts They said they would only search CCTV for the area if it was a murder case
Problem is my car is used for my work and my company pays me monthly for its use instead of a company car However their conditions are that it must be less than 4 years old when purchased and so to purchase a new car to similar spec and age I am going to be down by about £8k when the insurance settles for the market price
If I dont get it back Im going to go for the company car again.Less hassle and worry
Thank god it wasnt my MK1 though. I would have been really upset if they had taken that.Think I will get a tracker put on it though as a priority
