Run away!! Only kidding, I think you'd better seek the advise of muttley on that one. I think I remember him doing some really similar welding to Fred's van Alex. It wasn't that bad from memory but similar, I'm surprised the arch looks to be in good shape considering. Good luck and keep us posted.

Its been suggest that i cut the floor out and tackle the chassis first then replace all the floor

You have to take out All of the rusty floor, it will probably take the chassis with it. I spent more than 20 hrs on Freds LWB rear floor alone. Remember you need at least 1.5mm for the chassis and 1mm for the flooring.

If you can get the 2mm bent in the lengths you need it will save a bit of work

well i attacked the old girl today with a vengence. removed most of the floor but not off of the chassis rails yet. the n/s rail chassis rail only needs a smallish repair.the o/s rail is quite abit more rusty.not quite sure how to tackle it the last 5 inches of the chassis rail is also crap and the o/s rear corner

They are bolted round the lip, captive nuts on the inside. 13mm or 12mm headed studs.
