Good Evening All,
Our inner wings on our 1985 Dormobile bus are crumbling before our very eyes! They need to be removed and replaced. Does anyone know of a set available for sale?
Many Thanks,
Harry

Welcome to the forum! Inner wings are hard to find. Is it the bit round the bonnet hinges or worse? Could they be repaired? For new panels you could try Ralph on here but inner wings are rare.

Rugby ball sized holes on each side. The hinges have broken off

They can be repaired. It depends if you are going for 'restoration' or 'sound repair'.

Got the same bus. Ours were in bad shape too (although not that bad). I think they modified the bonnet on the dormobiles because on mine water leaks past the gutter down the inner wings and ends up on the chassis underneath the steering column ! Anyway might be a welding job. I haven't even looked at the other side (im talking about inside the engine bay). Its covered it underseal and doesn't do anything when I poke it with a screwdriver so I'm leaving it for a year or two until I have time to properly sort it.

The Dormobile bonnet is different to the ordinary standard bonnet. It's cut off at the back to allow for the screen surround.

If you think they can be welded then maybe we can go down that route as they really are bad! Huge holes either side lol. As for the bonnet, I guess we are going to have to cut ours down then.
Thanks for everything so far guys. It’s a big help

Have you got a spare bonnet then? The standard bonnet has a slight flip up on the back corners.

If you don't need it, try to get the right one. Yours didn't look too bad, that's pics for you though.

To be honest, hit it with a very big hammer until it's mostly the right shape. Then prime, smooth with filler and paint. You have nothing to lose. If it doesn't work, buy another one.
