Hi i am removing the front guards off my Mk2 Aus Post Transit & feel out of my depth i have drilled out most of the spot welds but there's a little tab underneath aprox 100mm long with spot welds how can you get them out with out a bad temper & an angle grinder. Most greatfull for any advice.

Are you keeping the wing (mudguard) if you are then you will struggle. There are many spot welds down the A pillar, at the bottom of the wing/door and also at the joint of the front panel. Also along wing rail and at rhe base of the scuttle, if you are not keeping wing then cut it off rough and grind back whats left

I believe Mk2 wings are hard to get especially in Aus unless ypu Guys know of any new ones so i best try not to wreck them. All the other spotwelds are off the wing is loose except for that tab underneath i guess i shall angle grind just to the inside edge of the spot welds & mig later. I looked inside the pillar & there were rust spots so i figured on taking them off & having a peep from the other side of the pillar. Thanks for reply i'll send pics of damage & progress.

If you mean the little tab at the bottom of the rear of the wing, just cut it off and weld on a new bit of metal when you put the wing back
