Thanks but it can only be saved if the owner lets me but doesn't seem to be responding to my questions on here or on the transit forum. So lets see what happens but lets hope it doesn't get broke up for parts

hi she still here but i had few problems since some kids messed about with her she wont run. due to fuel pipes being split between the filter and pump and the engine. the interior is mostly mk3 transit seats and things. if someone can get her home to theres i havent got a problem but need space and money at moment. i d gladly let someone come and save her. sadly winch and beacons are now missing. but basic van is still there i upload pics of the interior in a second

Thanks fred. Ive tried to do a rescue mission on this truck today. Just got back from a 100mile round trip. John who owns it is a nice lad but it had a few more issues than described. The front cross member is rotten with holes in and the front spring hangers are badly corroded. The gearbox modifed mounting is a bit on the weak side also. The high pressure diesel pump is shot and is thrashing diesel out from the seals. The filter head and pipes were missing as some one has vandalised the fuel lines and ignition. I took some fuel lines, lift pump, and a filter head with me. Spent a few hours messing around with it, me and John got it turning over but then the high pressure pump was thrashing more diesel on the floor than into the engine so we couldnt even get it running. I want to go back up and fit a high pressure pump on it if John can get one. I really feel I can give this truck a good home once ive repaired it

some say the bosch is picky about matching injectors others say swap and dont worry.

She's back to her new home for some resto work and lots of tlc ;-) Funny you should say that about the pump. I fitted a Bosch one from a 75ps 95mk5 but I had to keep bleeding it every now and then it would just Peter out. But then once bled would tick over nicely??? I've got to have a propper look at it as I put bits off this and that just to make it run again to save an expensive recovery bill as its 23ft long ;-)
