Ah, lovin them both. First car was a cortina 1.6 super...very rapid to 35 but eventually the drivers seat would collapse on hard acceleration...had loverly rostyles to boot!

Mice picture.
Yeah, I know this is bringing up an older thread but I'd love a Cortina mk2 estate more than a 2 door saloon, just sadly out of my price range now hence sticking with 3 to 5's. Just had to have my Capri 2.8 repaired after a bump, next my mk3 Cortina needs the engine bay redoing, then my Transit needs it's new front wing.
Guess where my spare money goes!
