Hi I have sitting in the garage a MK1 1968 Transit Freedom camper van. Can anyone advise where I can find out it's value. Thanks

Welcome andyb. We need to see pictures. You can upload them directly from your computer to the forum using the Attachments button. Any tax/MOT?

Thank you for your reply and have attached three photo's taken today. The van is currently having a partial engine re-build and will have a full mot. The only changes to the van over time is that my father changed the axles to give sevo assisted brakes from a 79 transit. and a webber carb. Look forward to hearing from you. Andy

Welcome mate. That's a good looking camper you've got there. Have you still got the Mk1 wheels & hubcaps for it? It looks all wrong with Mk2 wheels and would probably make it more saleable if it looked original.

No I am afraid the original wheels have gone. I remember that when my father swapped the axles the original wheels would not fit the studs. I am not sure if its possible to buy replacement wheels and caps and have axle adapted to accept them. If the camper is sold then it would have to be a project for someone to put back to the original configuration. The value as is is what we are trying to ascertain.

what a beauty. The brake upgrade was a good idea, but you really should have kept the original wheels and hubcaps. People like originality. Our Mk1 had some Mk2 wheels so I am surprised they didnt swap the other way. Is the interior all original and in good nick?
