Not a lot to say really finally managed to get it insured and drove it home this afternoon, pinto is amazingly torquey and the steering is nice and light! Desperately needs a compound and polish but its a nice thing to drive!

Don't usually do the giving vehicles names thing but have got a name for this one, introducing Little Nellie III, Won't have time to do much with it before the new year as we're off to New Zealand to check out the work situation in Christchurch and don't get back till Jan 1st, but have got my spare LPG tanks out am up to 400l so far which I think is a bit much, going to see what will fit nicely next.

I'm jealous too. Mine is still collecting moisture under its caravan cover on the drive. Toi busy with work to give it the attention it deserves !

Mines collecting moisture inside! Are screen rubbers + rear door rubbers still available from anywhere, these are rock hard and there are chunks missing from the rears. Looked closely at the carb and its a tiny weber not a VV (insert embarassed smiley here) in my defence even the weber on my 1300 Fiesta was bigger than this thing hence I assumed it was a VV.... Whats currently the easiest way to go to reliable electronic ignition as sierra's aren't 10 a penny in the scrap yard any more? Its had a car class MOT for the last couple of years (footwell plate reads 130) is this right? I still can't get over how not heavy the steering is, i may still need to go to the gym after all

yes, 130 would get away with class 4 but strictly speaking the lack of seats should be notified to the DVLA taking it to the commercial class. like a SWB

Started polishing, abandonded it when it started raining, forgot how rewarding cellulose paint was to cut and polish! Doing the ply lining at present, can't quite get my head round the windows still, am aiming to make it look like an original van. Attachments:

Nope last owner fitted it, think it's yellow underneath the black, I was tempted to wack the deathproof logo on it till I can get round to throwing some paint on it but the vinyl cutter has had a moment and needs to go for repair. I honestly can't beleive the amount of attention its getting in the street though - you'de have thought it was steam powered or something Am going to grit blast and paint the wheels silver - unless I can manage to get them plastic coated for cash or I find some cheap euroliners, need to remember its a left hand thread on one side as well.
