This is how Duck looked on my recent round Ireland trip....a bit scruffy near the waterline..... well, I started work on him today...expect more photos as I go along. Most of what you can see in that pics is due to someone painting over the rust, so I've started stripping it back, nothing alarming so far...watch this space....

I'm not expecting any.. she's rock solid underneath the Tester and my Mechanic both told me the only rust is the bits you can see on the outside. Now it's an Old Ford, so there may well be some underneath.... (just approaching 70000 miles now

This where I got too...I have too much hi-build primer I the panel gaps, so there's a lot more sanding going to take place yet. Always takes me ages to get it to look somewhere right....then I have to match the paint somehow! You can see from the first pic that the panel gaps had already been messed around with before I started.

Looks a bit better...needs a bit more yet though (that's still primer Phot looks worse than it actually is and some FORD stripes should hide the worst of it :-)

This is the bit behind the wheel. There was a small hole there but as it is double skinned, I just treated it and filled it...have to shape it a bit more yet

yep very small stuff really. This is the top of the drivers wing with a little removed to have a look-see...probably th owrst bit on the whole van. I' might have to weld a bit in here by the looks. The rest of the wing is sound except a similar scab just above the headlight. Someone had plastered something over the rust by the looks

shouldn't be too much trouble to cut a piece and weld in there as long as ya careful with the heat.

Ignore the paint runs, has to be rubbed back yet...improving slightly I've decided to get my wing done professionally so I'm just doing a temporary job on it fttb..(duct tape...(not really) should be Duck tape I guess
