Hi guys and girls, new here, I'm Vic. I've just bought a 1972 Mk1 Transit Richard Holdsworth Campervan and I'm planning to do a full Rat Rod style restore job on her. All the important work has alreay been done, ie underside all repaired and welded - rust removed etc. She's going in the bodyshop in a weeks time to get sorted out and in a few weeks time when i get her back i'll be painting her myself - I'm a street artist in my spare time. I'm looking for people in the corby/peterborough area that can help me out with a few things - mainly the interior and the old pop up roof system which all needs to be replaced. Can anyone help me out? Please say hello to "Bangarang" Bettie. www.facebook.com/vic.rupsin/media_set?set=a.10203991434369425.1073741835.1330043431&type=3

Welcome, not sure where you would get roof spares from - maybe check if anybody is breaking one on ebay?

Not vw rat look surely....(hopefully) you're going for the modern take on a rodded in the 60s look? Look forward to seeing some photos anyway.

Ok guys, ran into a problem with the engine today. The engine will not run idle without the choke fully open and when driving the engine cuts out on EVERY downshift and when i want to slow down and stop at junctions, etc. Any idea what can cause this? it's really been a bad days driving.

Sounds like dirt in the fuel/ carburetor, has it got an air filter in place?
