You have no idea, even the roof vent is yellow and the curtains, door rubbers, window rubbers, seats, etc etc etc. The tyres were also yellow but covered over ever so nicely with tyre black, the mind boggles. Must have thought it would make her prettier, I don't think she needed it but who know what horrors are lurking under all that slap and filler. On a happier note, I now have a replacement steering wheel for her, it has come from a krackerjacked "B" reg A series but looks much better than the Mk4 that was fitted, she came with a Mk2 as a spare but I think it is from a facelift model, I'm hoping that the A series is the same as the earlier Mk2. This is the A series one

Cheers, I will fit it tomorrow and get pics up. Looks like I've got a later Mk2 one up for grabs then, I'll put a for sale post on tomorrow with pics. Any ideas how to get the steering wheel to look not so weathered, it's been a bit unloved and it's from a scrapped van with busted screen, lethal how the screens used to be, huge shards of glass all over the place ! On the plus side the rubber was good though

Good progress there. Ah campers. In a previous life Kim was painted with a bucket. I took 75% of it off with me thumb nail!

So not just my camper then ! She was sprayed yellow, I just don't think who ever did it was paying much attention at the time ! This is what she should look like and hopefully will again, if I can find the right pop-top. Should she have reverse lights, I noticed when I took the paint off the rear panels that the holes for the wires had a neat circle of black plastic like material over them but she only had reflectors stuck on with bath sealant so I'm not sure. Can you still get the plastic clips that hold the bumper end caps on to the body ? She also has a non matching pair of end caps on the front bumper, the list gets longer but on the plus side she did come with an original Ford rear fog light Not too sure if it's for my Transit but if not it's ebay with it.

Reversing lights aren't a legal requirement, but do make life easier

Well I knew the rust was hiding somewhere on my camper, now I know where ! I was taking the interior out anyway as it needs replacing and I'm glad I did it now and not later ! I'm not sure how this was missed on the mot earlier this year. Just a view from the rear. and this is just being optimistic.
