Hi Just bought a mk1 transit motorcaravan which will be a gradual rolling resto.I hope to post photos and the story of my progress as and when it occurs. But to start with I need to get some door mirrors in keeping with the transits age (1972) and to give me some rearward vision (the wing mirrors are worse than useless because of the wide body) Has anybody got any ideas thats not going to break the bank? Regards Andy

Hi andy, american rv mirrors seem to be the most appropriate ones, i got mine for 30 from e bay, some get them cheaper though i have tried a number of others If its not broken...I can break it!

Welcome mate! Glad to see you're not going the Mk2 mirror route. In an ideal world the original mirrors would be great (cant believe they drove using only the wing mirrors) but a version that's in keeping would be the next best thing

I know, the originals are pants. Decorative but not too useful

Welcome, yes we love to see photos, it gives us hope knowing someone else is getting stuck in. Jas Piccies will follow as soon as I get a minute or two,the resto story will start as soon as I start working on it.By the way the LandyAndy nic comes from the fact that I own a series 2a airportable Landrover (five years and counting)
