well decided to start stripping rusty down today with the view of sorting out the rust at least around the lights but the pillar/panel that the corner panel welds to is also very rusty. this is the driverside by the light cluster.the rust you can see is the pillar.the bottom isn't too bad but still very rusty. and this is the nearside bottom corner needs heck of a lot of work me thinks.

cheers.the tops aren't a lot better think that's how the bottoms got so bad. what do people do about the panel that runs under the doors as mine is pretty well f'd all the way along?

There were some rear light panels on eBay recently and number plate panels too, if you were in blighty I could cut out some repair panels for you

removed part of the corner panel revealing rust!right bugger get the fridge and part of the unit out.

started to try and repair the s/h pillar/corner I have.starting on the top first and working down.tried removing as much of the inside section as I could but it's hard to get to it all.what I couldn't remove will be rubbed down and treated. the front corner was quite rusted so this is the first bit to be done.

I can't get that song out of my head every time I read your thread Irish.... The,line that says "tin roof.... Rusteeee" from the love shack by the b52s... Sorry.. Lots of the dreaded tin worm there..... Hope you cut it all out ok My old Ford ain't dead yet, some fool keeps repairing it!

same trouble areas as yours Richard.side panels,x cross member,spring hangers but the front corner on the roof has gone and leaked down inside,bonnet and a few other bits.hopefully get her nice and solid and as ya say get good money.
