They probably quoted for fitting a new loom, however electrics are simple really, have any wires been cut or have they just been pulled down? It looks like there may have been quite a few additions to the loom over the years hence the mass of red wire. It should take an auto electrician no more than a couple of hours to sort that lot out and probably install some new wires for the accessories and an auxillary fusebox - alternatively teach yourself to solder and do it yourself.

Have you thought about converting to LPG instead of diesel*, you can get a tank with a vapour take off (to run the onboard cooker/ fridge/ heating) as well as a liquid one (to run the engine), it means you would still be able to go inside the M25 ring without paying £200? a day for the privilidge. A lot will depend on the condition of your existing engine/ gearbox though - if they are both knackered it might be cheaper to get a good turbo diesel and 5 speed box from a Mk3-Mk5 transit and put that in.
They wouldn't have scrapped it, Co-Part would have auctioned it off, I guess it would have made the best part of a grand on a good day.
Any news on the court case? If you get awarded damages does it go to the Ins co or yourself?
*I am biased a bit as I like LPG vehicles (actually it the cheap fuel I like without mucking about with veg oil or making bio diesel), my van and other half's car are both running on gas.
Sorry edit - it'll pass a VIC check now, although it should be running and drivable, its not an inspection of the quality of any repairs just a check on the chassis number to make sure you haven't just swapped the numberplates onto another identical camper.

yea engine good just needs a tune as running a little high and does anyone knw how much it would cost to get the vic test done.and how much it would cost to convert to LPG without paying through the nose for it as with the repairs wat already need doing n with it been so near to chrimbo the funds to do this would be a miricle lol.and the court case a youth been charged with theift of a motor and got 6 month referral plus £100 court cost and another male is in court on the 28th of this month charged with theift driving without insurance or licence and another male charged with theift and no insurance but no court case apointed as yet.and court saying i can claim for compo.so really depending on how much it will all cost to get cozy up an running again depends on wat we do even if it takes a year to get her sorted then that will have to be the way but with the other repairs such as the little welding and the damage done to it wen stolen depends on the cost really SO WELDING DOOR DAMAGE VIC TEST STEERING WHEEL LOCK IGNITION AND TO CONVERT TO LPG OR DIESEL DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH IT WOULD ALL COME TO PITY I DONT HAVE A DONOR VAN TO DO IT AT A LOWER COST.But will keep you all updated on her as ralph going to call an see her sometime to give me a general idea on how much the wiring and door and steering will cost so hoping it wont be to much.but if to much to do all the repairs i have listed then depends weather we keep sell or break her for parts which we really dont want we would rather get her fixed so will keep u all updated on cozys outcome.thanks to all for all your help and support during cozys loss.
