how can it be classed as a car when the NCT (by definition ) is for cars.? I can see the madness in their method, but it is a poor compromise. My guess is the result will be lots of untested MHs on the road and you knwo what enforcement is like here, very good chance to get away with it. The only thing is you can't tax without a test (unlike cars) and if your tax is out by 2 months they can seize the vehicle.

I thought they were supposed to be refining it for mh as they dont get the use of a commercial.like everything else here no thought out before they enforce.

Been to see Duck today...top coat going on in next couple of days, home by the weekend. The guy has gone way beyond what I asked him to and I can't see him making any money on it!
He's tidied up under the bonnet and painted the door shuts, patched the wing at the top and around the mirror, done the door wells which were ropey, but I'd left for another day. welded in the new leisure battery tray and is painting basically all the metal, plus he's done a couple of bits underneath that he found and reckons it ll fly through the Test. Short of taking out the glass, it's nearly a full resto!

Camper will now owe me about €5500 to €6000 but I reckon you wouldn't buy much for that money anyway. I hadn't planned to spend that much....

I don't think anyone does. But you have safeguarded a piece of automotive history and got a van you can use everyday, anytime. Almost the best of all worlds

Yes indeed.....I've bought some Ford stripes (like you used to get at the bottom of the doors on old Cortinas) and I'm going to try them on the roof just above the gutter to see if I can make the proportions look better (dark blus)
