Cheers Fred yeah proper 15mm engineered oak. I had to batten the floor anyway because the plywood subfloor was so uneven. Not sure what happened but because we put in 4 separate panels they must have sat on top of random welds and all sorts so it was all over the place. It was literally 2cm lower at the back than at the middle! Anyway spent a good week or 2 levelling it with battens and shims before putting the floor down. Job done now though!

hehe cheers! Yeah I do all the grunt work and my gf is in charge of choosing the decor and fittings (because I have awful taste) and also doing the interior paintjob (because I can't paint for shit unless its with a spray gun haha)

Can def feel the impact of the insulation it warms up a treat. Now just to fit the gaping gaps between the sliding doors!!

Yeah I got the old ones kicking about, keep meaning to get some new ones as the brushes have seen better days!
