Possibly a strange one( for a mk 1/2 transit forum),going a bit stir crazy here waiting for registration process on van and looking for things to do on it meantime to improve it,got to the stage that all that's left is the underside of van,it's still factory grey with factory applied wax, there's no rust(even on rear valance, sills etc),silly things like propshaft, shocks tank etc have come up factory black with a clean(as said stir crazy!). Thinking of putting a coat of grey Smoothrite( near existing factory colour) on underside purely for protection and something to do.Ive fitted arch liners so sh*t doesn't get thrown on underside anymore(so rust traps point are now protected). Van hasn't/doesn't need resto. Best left as is,or painted?

Have you got a compressor? I would give it all a clean then lather it in clear underbody wax, take out all the plugs etc and inject cavity wax into the cavities. Then do the same to all the internal cavities.
How's citizenship/ van registration progressing?

Ive cleaned it all already!,so will look into clear wax as have access to compressor, better idea than paint, don't really want to make it look like something has been hidden/repaired when it hasn't. Got temp residency here now and citizenship no.,after 5 years becomes permanent following a language test and not becoming a burden on the system here. Van registration is slowww, but in process, timescales are a shrug of the shoulders and an explanation of 'Spanish Burocracy',so it's happening but at a pace that makes snails(and from what I remember,my van)Ferrari fast. I was hoping for this month, now I'm hoping for this summer/autumn,but that said,a letter could change all that next week, but for now I'm on the cliffs, doing a Jimmy Cliff and sitting here in limbo.
