Hi there I am a new member, the name is esko. My mk1 is year model -72, an old firefighter van. Under the bonnet is screaming V4 engine as usually. I both the car from Germany 7 years ago. My idea is to keep it original as much it's possible. Cabin rubber mat is missing, if anyone knows where can I find one, let me know. It has bit rusty door steps, I am going to change them. Probably you guys know where to buy those. I asked Mangnum panels, they have those. What is the quality, how they fit, dont know... better as you. Also right wing is bit rusty. In general its in a good condition. Driving is sometimes noisy in open road, 5th gear would be nice. Regards esko

Welcome esko! Most replacement panels are copies so the fit varies a lot. They often need adjustment to fit properly. This even applies to wings, so unless you find new old stock replacements it's best to repair the original, if possible. Your noisy drive will be a mixture of minimal standard insulation and an odd Diff ratio. It's common in ex fire vans.
