Was just filling up Alex to take her to the yard. There's a list of leccy stuff like the OD not working. She had other ideas. I put about 45L on top of a quarter of a tank, obviously a LWB 68L one. Suddenly there's petrol pissing everywhere. A small lake about 4ft accross to be precise, under the van and out the other side. She was fine when I set off! Go back a week, the dogs were taking far too much notice of Alex and under the back end. It turned out a rat had got in and eaten some Bonio dog bikkies that had been left on there. I was wondering how it got in. It seems to have munched on the filler neck seal and pipes. Little fooker. Just waiting for the AA to take her to see Dr Muttley.

bloody bastard rats! Took me several attempts to get the fuel leaks sorted for my LWB. Every time I brimmed it there was a pool of petrol underneath. First problem was the rubber gasket around the sender. Next, I found a crack where the bracket is spot welded on top.
BTW, mine is the large tank, and I measured it from bone dry to brimmed - 75L exactly!

That's how they got into Camilla at the yard. I can't work out how they got into Alex though. They were in the very back of the van, and chewed the wiring loom outside the back of the van.

Muttley had to fit a new trailer socket and loads of wire for the rear lights. Oh and the OD switch is toast, but that's nowt to do with rats. Petrol leak tomorrow!!
