postimg.org/gallery/19su8s968/Hi guys I bought the transit with the intention of doing her up! She is a 1984 ex fire county 4x4 with roller shutter doors needs a restoration ie bottom of doors, sills, front wings , Has a 2.5 Di engine fitted now but I have the v6 Essex (would it be better to put the v6 back in ?) Do you guys know where I can get these panels or possibly interested in selling to be frankly it will probably never get done lol Has a interesting reg which has been valued at £3750, What would this van be worth in need of rrestoration or if the van was done, thanks

Damn. Neither of my browsers will let me view your link. Can you post individual image links? They are usually offered by all photo hosting websites. If you have the URL (web address) of the pic, you then add img tags to show it online. I would rather have the pics on here than have to go to a gallery on another website. Full instructions on how to post pics are at the top of the galleries.

Hi Ralph, Thanks for your reply, I really would love to get this done and looking as new but as I'm busy doubt Ill find time to ever get her done but she is so cool (well she is to me) I was actually offered 6k for it but declined the offer as the registration has been valued at £3750 anyhow if the right offer turned up who knows! I'm based in the North east area, Do you have the panels to fix this ie: both front wings, and drivers doors, 2 x wing mirrors , Both sills ? thanks colin.

I hate to tell you this, but the reg can't be transferred until the van has an MOT. Also, many reg dealers will give you a price, but only advertise it, not pay for it until somebody has paid for the reg. If somebody has offered over three grand for your reg, in cash not a valuation, take it. Seriously. My Alex (LWB panel van) probably has a saleable reg. I wouldn't sell it any more than the van it's on. If you haven't had the van long, get it through the test and sell the reg. There's a world of difference between getting through an MOT and a resto, even with dodgy wings and sills. Also, with respect, I can't tell you how often we have had members on here who think their van was worth this and that. Then they came down with a bump. All they saw was pound signs, not a thing of beauty and commercial history on six wheels. Please don't be coy. If you want to sell, name a price and sell. If you want to restore your van and keep it, do it! We are all happy to help.

Yes I have everything you need but do as Fred says just get an mot first. Thanks for your information but I’m a master technician in my field and quite busy and have loads of “Projects” so on that note I will be keeping her as she is one of my favourites. Just really wanted to know value of these county’s but I will be putting her back to original van. Can you supply me the parts I need Ralph? Cheers Colin

Right! Now you are talking! Enough of the talk of selling the number plate and it making the van worth more.
