Hi, Well its definitely for sale now.
35,000 kms from new. Never Welded. Fresh repaint last March. Paperwork to back up van is 1965 build. Convertion to firevan completed Aug 66. First registered on road October 1966. Never welded. Original panels. No rust, that can be found. Very clean underneath. Waxoiled.
Recent respray March 2017.
Has its original orderbook/logbook.
Has full length removable bed/sofa, so it can still be used as a van , combination sink/cooker ring, wardrobe. Rare front bench. Side exit exhaust. 1.7 Taunus V4. Rev counter, oil pressure guage. CD radio. Pedals through the floor and early Taunus switch gear. New starter motor and oil filter changed.
New front screen rubber, rear hub oil seals, bearings. New front shocks. New starter motor.
Reg originally NDB429E but new reg acquired from DVLA to reflect its true age, being ACN 198D.
Vinyls on the back in Homage to Allard motorsport. Reproduced with permission from Gavin Allard. These can be peeled off with a heatgun if you want an all red van.
Has good cab floor mats and the rare middle load bay mat
.
Ford sport stripes.Tailgate and double side doors that can clip back.
Comes with Service Manual, Haynes, Operators Handbook and the original Firevan brochure, (very, very rare. ) Spare single seat.
Double insulated on the floor roof and sides. Great as a camper. Full length bed and I am 6ft! You can't get that in most Campers. Some spares included.
Great van to drive lots of van envy.
Being a 65 van it has the mounts on the engine bay if you wanted to convert to rhd, these were deleted on later vans.
It also has all the rarer front panels and shallower headlamps.
Don't let LHD put you off. I have been using this as my daily driver and I find it much much easier as you can gauge better how close you are to the curb/hedge/parked cars, which when you are RHD you can forget about the rear wheel fenders! Good fun. Taken her to the Shakedown 600 mile round trip. Bad points, only 1 . I fitted a new fuel gauge and sender as either seemed to not be working at all, but turned out to be the gauge. If you don't want the Kitchen and bed fitted in the back. Let me know it can be removed.
Asking £9k or near offer. Being listed on ebay shortly. Very very reliable.
