I advertised my mk2 AutoSleeper in August last year on the classic sites for £6495. I got a massive amount of interest but no serious buyers. Timewasters included:
1/ a man who was starting a restoration company so wanted it to tow a trailer and project examples. The conversion takes up most of the gross weight or whatever so he was only allowed 900kg, hence no progress.
2/ a family who turned up with 3 kids and despite me providing lots of details and photo's in advance then progressed to ask where the 5th person in a 4 berth van could sleep.
3/ a man who wanted to p/x a tatty Peugeot 405 that I wouldn't even give £150 for.
4/ a woman who seemed genuinely interested but wanted me to buy their Capri GL off them first which they valued more than I sold my very nice Capri 2.8i for a month earlier, and was also valued at more than the camper.
5/ a man who could only view at weekends, but I work weekends.
I got fed up with it, pulled the adverts, and put it back away in the corner of my unit. I suspect eBay might be even worse.

it can be difficult to sell at times and ya have to watch some people.when i was selling the motorhome a couple came round who seemed very interested so we left them in the van to chat.after awhile they said they'd get back to sort the money but after they'd gone i noticed they'd knicked all the instruction manuals for the shower, cooker etc.

I'm going to struggle even more than you UK guys I think, at least some people will think it's a scam, being located in Ireland. I don't think I'll bother with ebay or advertising in the UK.
I'm going to switch the ad from Vintage to the Camper section see if that helps and take it to a few shows with for sale on it, otherwise I'll just keep it, it costs very little to tax and insure and I'll do the odd trip to see steam engines in it.

update: the Government in their wisdom have decided all vehicles age 30 to 39 are to be tested 2 yearly rather than 1 yearly and sent me a new cert which means that Duck now has a ticket until 2020 and thus is staying with me to enjoy for this summer and next (unless I get a good offer) Just back from another trip to the Uk and going again in August (Trolleybus museum in Yorkshire)

Cheers.
I've got it booked into the Tatton Park Classic Show in August. It's usually a good weekend show so I'll see if there's any interest there.

finally took a deposit on Duck today. All going well I'll be transit-less next week. End of a pleasant (sometimes fraught) 7 years and the end of the Corktina name too, this being the last place I use it.(except ebay )
