Heya so the end of my throttle linkage snapped of ages ago. My cold start is also not connected. Am I correct in thinking the cold start is connected to the throttle linkage? Would this be a suitable replacement? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-TRANSIT-MK2-2-5D-THROTTLE-ACCELERATOR-CABLE-/202148525251This is the bit that snapped off The cold start is a bit frayed and just hanging loose. As a side note the engine has been started fine first time every time without this connected. AA bloke also said the solenoid isn't connected. Surely this is a good sign for the engine if I'm literally starting it off the tiny cable running from the ignition to the starter motor?

yeah to be fair I didn't realise it hadn't been connected because I'd never had any problems starting it, even in the middle of winter!! I shall leave it flopping about where it is (as for the cold start I'll leave that alone too)
