Got lots of little adds done over the last week..having hell of a time matching the side windows extrusion rubber... Going to Andy's today to pick up engine....it's been a while but let's get it in asap see her rolling...looking forward to getting nice clean bits on it...I'm now wondering about minting the engine bay..
Total strip down, bores honed, new standard pistons and rings. New standard crankshaft, new big end, main bearings and thrusts. Valves lappped, new guide seals, new oil pump and drive shaft. Steel cam timing gear fitted, all new gaskets and seals.
Come see me for all your Transit associated needs!
wow, a lot of work, but making good progress there!
Yes...getting there...engines goibg in for rebuild at local engineering firm after this lockdowns over now... Here's abit of update
Looking at the brochures ford provided for van camper conversions I noticed the Wayfarer quoted sleeper spaces for 6..😂🤣..so ..four kids and two adults.... showing the sleeping plan on one page I see two hammocks..now when I got the camper the rear as fall of spares..doors an engine, gearbox three rads..grill,lots of odds...and this stretcher looking thing..I now realise it's a hammock..and that my van has only one fixing location for it...so I started working on getting these bits together...
Alloy window frames stripped polished new extrusion rubbers ,felt glass guilds etc ..fitting them extrusions is a nightmare..completed one and as u know im waiting on new glass...took about 6hours getting one frame together..
