Thanks everyone I'm hoping to do a couple more days on it over the next month and get it all primered / red oxided. It looks so much cleaner like that, and easier to see what else needs doing. The engine runs now, the exhaust is fixed, the gearbox was okay anyway, the main thing apart from putting it all back together once I've finished cleaning and painting it is to strip the brakes down. And there's wiring to sort out which is messy at the moment. But one thing at a time... Those "windows" along the side are clear perspex held in with carpet runner. It was like that when I got it! I think it had roller-shutter doors in the sides when it was new, as it was some sort of emergency support vehicle. There is a photo of one just like it here: www.ambulance-photos.com/picture/number1852.aspMine has a boarded up hole in the roof just where that one in the photo has the big blue light thing as well.

No, it will look more like a crusty van I think! Given it will stay in primer for the foreseeable future, and will be used by me to collect logs / manure etc. And only that once it's actually fixed up enough to get an MOT, which is not going to be especially soon.
