Just joined. I got fed up of having 'modern fords' if a collection of Mk1 Mondeo's can be called Modern. So treated myself to a 1979 MK2 Ci Travelhome with a 2.0 pinto. 60k on the clock. Fires up first time, and slowly working my way through the problems with the camper body. These are not limited to. The seating bed area being covered in a 4 way stretch carpet, including the windows in the Luton bed area.
The toilet area being ripped out, and a portapotty chucked in it.
Wet rot in toilet area in past, the area hasn't leaked in the rain we have had recently, but definitely has at some time. And similar in seating area on one side next to gas locker.
None of this worries me as I was trained in vehicle body making back in the 80s. And still remember some of it. (Don't ask me what I did 10 minutes ago as I haven't a clue.)
On the plus side the body has been welded up. Its not pretty but it is solid. And the rear brakes had new cylinders for it's mot in April (yes it had an mot even though it is 42 in December.)
There are bits I am after. But will post in correct area.

A hearty hello and welcome to you, sounds like you have a project there, not so much rust and rot in Mondeos

Will definitely get some pics up. When I get my head around it. I used to use photobucket but see that has become a pain.
