I really like those wheels! I am going to get the spare set for my Mk2 banded and put some fat tyres on. How wide did you go with the rims? And what tyre size are you running?

Its a beautiful thing! Just the right look for me on that period paint scheme, and widened steelies in white, just perfect! Are you going to run the hubcaps or leave as is? Oh, and what did it go like?

That's a really lovely looking van and top class work on the conversion. I'm loving the banded steels too, they look so right on the van. Nice one, well done.

Oh, and what did it go like? Conrad hi conrad, we decided to leave the hubcaps off this one as i think it looks way cooler and more retro without em. ive just fitted a 4.1 diff from a 2.0 pinto mk2 van replacing the original 4.4 v4 diff and its made a great difference. before it was revving quite high at 60 mph but now it cruises sweet as a nut at 60 or 70 and has plenty of go too!

oldsckooler what gearbox did you use? Sorry if I missed it. BTW I think it would look better with hubcaps.. Also seeing this early van has kinda tempted me into converting Elleanor from a minibus.

i used a transit type 9 with a vauxhall to ford alloy bellhousing normally used to fit vauxhall xe engines to escorts.
