thanks for your help all. i think ur right fred it,s a mt 75 box which i think were used on mk3,s but with gearstick at front rather than the back for a sierra. the problem is the gearsticks to far back at mid seat position which i can live with but because of lenght of lever the gears are far apart . apart from 1st and reverse which are dangerously close. so may be a transit mt 75 box mite cure this and get speedo accurate to ? graeme

I think you have to match the gear on the gearbox end of the speedo drive to your back axle to get your speedo right Graeme.

hi all picture of 1.8 cvh engine in my mk2. it,s not quite as quick as a pinto ,but go,s good with 5speed box and better on fuel . fitted rev counter (ebay $12) she does 70mph at 3750rpm. you might see my new leisure battery in photo got from stevenage batterys (on e,bay) half the price of halfords and a good helpfull chap who runs it. g Attachments:

hi m201, it,s got a feed from alternator( when engine running via relay) to a fused cable to rear thats sub fused for lights, fridge etc. g
