yep, costing me fortune so far and I have still to pay the Registration tax , the amount of which I don't know yet,but could be 700-1300 euros and get it tested....test is 170 euro I think plus whatever work it needs....had to get it inspected by an Engineer yesterday which cost 185 euro and also weighed, which cost nothing (thanks to guys at the local Creamery :-) )... Insurance was cheap at 226 euro and tax will be 95 euro.....add to that about 400 euro to collect it and bring it back and it's safe to say the budget has been well and truly blown to pieces.... my first show will hopefully make it all worth while!

why on earth did ya have to get it weighed??

BECAUSE THERE WAS A SPACE ON THE eNGINEERS REPORT FOR THE WEIGHT. NCT chap cautioned me not to leave anything blank or the Revenue would bounce it back again!
Good luck with yours John, make sure it says CAMPER or similar on the V5C and you won't have to jump through all these hoops!

you probably will be better off alright as whatever it's down as you'll be converting it to Vintage/Veteran class rather than Motor Caravan class I suppose...hope so anyway!
