Passed it's test today, getting taxed tomorrow. Has new double passenger seat also now...amazing what a good scrub and a power-wash can do...

she is driving nicely....will do 60 comfortably on a good road, and on a bad one \i just let her take her time and use the 3rd overdrive a lot...quite relaxing. Steering a bit vague though

Steering a bit vague though You can tighten the steering by setting the steering wheel in the straight ahead position then loosen the nut on the spindle of the steering box. Then using a screwdriver gently tighten the spindle not to tight or the steering gets too heavy. Retighten the nut and you should be good.

not sure about that. If it's the same set up as on a Cortina mk1/2 , all you are doing is taking out the slack in the bearing and potentially increasing wear....on a Cortina it just makes the steering a little heavier but all the play is still there

I don't know anything about the cortina boxes but I have adjusted the one on my van as it was very slack. It worked a treat. I'm open to correction but I think the idea is that the adjustment just takes up the slack in the worn gears so shouldn't affect the bearings.

Be careful adjusting the steering box.Jack the van up after adjusting it and make sure it locks side to side without sticking.I can have a peek at it foc when you pass by on your way to Cultra .I am near Dublin.

not yet, had three enquiries which didn't lead anywhere (wanted swaps) Not really in a rush, just testing the market really as it probably won't sell before the spring and I intend getting a bit more use out of it forst....

change of plans...one of the reasons for getting it has fallen by the wayside (Daughters fiancé can't get insured on it) so probably will go if a buyer should come forward.
