well another weekend and a few more hours workink on the van gearbox and prop now removed along with the wiring loom this has had 35yrs + of bad extras i.e block connectors scotch locks wires twisted together and held together with tape, inline fuses with inline fuses to the main fuse box looks like spagetti on a plate.good job im a sparky lol we also found the original wiring loom ticket still attached to the loom.we also removed the hardboard from inside the van and found evenmore rotten wood all down the drivers side has rotted and come away from the floor .will hope our good friend roger who is a carpenter can help sort out the woodwork. the white bit you can see by the wheel arch is actually the garage floor . .

All that framing looks pretty straight forwards - shouldn't need to be a chippy to sort that out

good to see some progress with the old girl.did she fair well with the storm as someone on the other site had his motorhome blown to pieces after the interior was stripped.

well back again been to the unit and continuing the strip down firstly off came the side skirts then out came the windows this took a while as most of the screws were rusted in and would'nt budge then after removing the sealed in roof lightsoff came the roofgetting ready for the next fase off removing the sides and floor as this is pretty rotten also removed was the water tank and fuel tank afteri knocked the filler hose off and got covered in petrol mind you helped the time pass very quickley breathing in all those fumes l.o.l

Waters a bugger , I'm going to lift the roof of of mine at the end of the summer . That I'm really not looking forward to well been a long time again with no posts well been to unit and started to continue with the strip down we removed the rear end of the van and started to rebuild the frame work then we removed the alui drivers panels more rot what a bugger but heho chin up we have the technology

Lookin way interesting, is there any chance of a photo of the camper frame to the rh corner to the right of the door? If its not broken...I can break it!
