I think in this case the "older sister" has been looking after herself better:)

Winnie has had an easy life, did 100 miles in her today, half of it fully laden with the contents of my garage ( including a Di, a pinto and a v4) and apart from a dodgy starter connection and running weak all was well she grosses at 3265 kilos, not sure what unladen.

A LWB Mk2 crewbus weighs 1620kg, and a LWB chassis/windshield is 1094kgs according to the brochure I have here, so I guess Winnie must be around 1700-1800kgs at a guess? I would so much like to park up Connie in front of my neighbours house...should teach them a lesson about moaning about parking Why is that? Because of "love thy neighbour" on the side, or the fact it would block out all of their visible sunlight

I'm regaining respect for the pinto since the LEZ came in. I forget it was THE choice back in the 80s.

Yeah thats a good point, I forgot about that. Are these buses likely to be used within the LEZ zone? So glad we don't have any of that malarky over here. What is the tend now that LEZ has come in? Do people still run diesels and pay the tax? Or is there a glut of them on the market? And what is replacing them? (apart from old Pinto Transits )

petrol is not subject to the LEZ so can be any age. Most of the old diesels are gone now. I know of a few people who have fitted a filter.

There's quite a few rhd diesel MK5's running about in the zone on EU plates, but yeah most of the old stuff went overseas or is washing machines by now.
