well, as it always seems to go I walked back out to the van after posting the question about water and crawled underneath. I found a hose going from the rear of the water tank to the sink and found one going from the front of the tank up to the front of the van. Pop the hood and low and behold there it is. The filler cap for the tank. Problem solved. Now on to this butane thing...

Sad news. Try inside the engine bay, front left as you look in. That's where my AutoSleeper one is and I'm convinced this is an AutoSleeper too. I haven't found the drain plug yet though. Drainage from the sink is rear corner behind the wheel. I found it! The drain too, and the switch that powers the pump. What I cant seem to find is the plug and cord that plugs the van into shore power. I know Alan used a local shop for electrical issues so I will check with them Monday to see if maybe they have it for some reason.

So I found the butane canister under the rear passenger seat. Butane is not easy to come by in the us that I know of. Anyone know about converting to use propane? It's much more readily available here. The stove and fridge both run off it. From what I've read online it seems that I just need to replace the regulator and the appliances should run fine. Anyone have any advise on this?

Thanks Fred. Alan was so excited about getting the camper and he was really proud of it. Its been a trip following in his footsteps and piecing together his puzzles. The more and more I play with the van the more I love it too. Such a cool little thing. I wish I could keep it myself but the mini he has is going to keep me busy for quite a while. I will tell whoever ends up buying the van about this forum too.
