its of a friend we have had a look at it it does look in good condition but never had one before so not 100 percent sure . it will need a respray as its all bright yellow with a black stripe down the center

A respray isn't going to be cheap unless its just a quick blow over of the cab? If its dry (check with a damp meter in the corners) and the interior is tidy enough then I don't think it's particularly dear - its not outstandingly cheap either mind you.

its a little bit high. If its in very good condition maybe £1500 might be nearer. You dont metion tax, if there is none remember you have another £230 on top of that. Insurance would be reasonable too. If you really hate the colour hand painting the body is easy cheap and not as horrendous as it sounds. A pro paint job would be 1000s mind.

Pictures would help.
Stucture is more important than your colour issue - rust, damp etc all cost money to fix. If you're definitely against the colour it will cost you a good chunk to sort unless you do a DIY job.

Bright yellow is a brilliant colour. Don't respray it. Like the other posts, look forr rust or damp. Good luck.
